Typical services we provide include:
Loan reviews: We review loans for validity, accuracy of risk ratings, performance status and quality of credit administration. We can complete a full portfolio review or limit the scope to specific areas of concern. Our full review includes adequacy of legal documentation, credit documentation, investigation, analysis, loan service and controls. Loans are tested for compliance with FCA regulations, consumer compliance regulations and, of course, the client’s own policies and procedures.
Internal Credit Reviews: We can perform the entire Internal Credit Review function or assist an organization’s internal staff by performing a portion of the credit review requirements.
Review of credit policies and procedures: We can help assure these areas are complete, accurate, current and provide thorough guidance to management and staff.
Confirm that prior concerns and issues have been addressed: We objectively determine the organization’s effectiveness in correcting previously identified issues.
Conduct specialized reviews for capital market lending units: This includes analysis and documentation of participation loans, syndicated transactions and related monitoring/servicing.
Conduct due diligence reviews: We’re able to provide an objective assessment of the credit function of an organization either as an independent third party or as a part of a team. We always tailor our engagements to meet the institution’s needs.
Assist with internal or third-party reviews: We can also assist with your other review activities by -
- Reviewing large or complex loan portfolios, scorecard programs, rural home loan portfolios or problem branches or regions
- Providing specialized review training for your staff
- Consulting on such diverse matters as internal controls, risk assessments and more
- Testing internal credit review programs
- Credit Training: We have conducted credit training since 2011. We offer courses ranging from basic credit “101”, to analyzing complex credits, loan servicing, dealing with distressed loans, and compliance with federal regulations including borrower rights, flood insurance and consumer lending.

Our mission is to utilize our combined experience, knowledge and commitment to excellence to provide value-added credit review, training and consulting services to our clients. We take the extra time to understand and address concerns, and we strive to perform our responsibilities with honesty, integrity and professionalism. We understand that contracting with an outside vendor to conduct credit reviews, training or consulting is a significant decision. There are many points to consider, and a thorough understanding of the individuals who will be interacting with you and your staff is a key consideration. The members of Credit Review Group, LLC have a wide array of experience in the Farm Credit System, commercial banking and agriculture. We have served as lenders to make, analyze and service loans. We have served in management roles giving us an understanding of the overall needs of an organization, and some of us have been customers of Farm Credit that gives us a unique borrower’s perspective as well.
